First off, most people call me Billy. These people also tell me I’m a tall, skinny, 23 year old American man. I’m from just outside Boston and I’m moving to Singapore for a financial sales job. I went to Boston College which was about 7 miles from my house. I’m now moving 9500 miles away. Yikes!
I’m pretty sure I am going to have a hard time playing hockey on the equator so I’m thinking about getting my soccer stuff out of the box in my closet and into my suitcase.
Now comes the point on this page where I find it a waste of my time to write stuff that is already on facebook. Plus, you already know who I am.
Billy,
I am very excited for you. I commend you for taking this opportunity and making this move at this stage of your life. I spent 6 months oveseas In Germany (and treavelling in Europe) when i was a junior at Holy Cross. That trip was a life changing event as I developed so much self confidence and realised that I could truly do whatever I wanted as long as I behaved myself and worked hard. I am sure that you will quickly realise that as well.
Have fun!! Work hard!! As I always tell my son, Kevin, don’t worry about making us proud, just make yourself proud and everything will be fine.
Billy,
If anybody ove rthere is asking for me, please give them my regards and let them know that I am doing great!!!
Roger Clemens is a liar and a cheat !! Not that that changes the course of world events.
All the best !!
Bill: We are in warm, sunny Charleston SC–none of the excitement of Singapore–but right for us at our age & stage., and for the next 2 weeks. Then back to CC.
We love reading your blog. Your Uncle Ed and two of his boys came down for the weekend a couple of weeks ago. Brian ate fried alligator while he was here and was disappointed that the restaurant had run out when we were all at the same restaurant for brunch the next day. So I guess he could handle Singapore.. ENJOY!! GG&Bu2

Saw your dad… gave me the info on the blog… Congrats! When i moved to Europe, was the best thing i’ve ever done… Enjoy it and keep the posts coming…
All The Best,

All the best!
Bill, Margaret came for a visit tonight and showed me how to contact you. I have joined the modern world . If Ginger Spice can do it so can I. Great to read of your happenings. Stay safe and I am thinking of you . We bumped into JP in Beverly this pm. He was using the Gents at a local restaurant while waiting for the train. He had a beer and dinner with us always a good laugh and plenty of Ryan gossip. God Bless love Connie
Hey Billy! Glad to see you’re enjoying SE Asia and I am really excited to join you over there in a couple of weeks. I also really love the blog, I wrote one myself while in Hangzhou (the website listed above) and I look back on it now with fondness.
Thanks for the Facebook message a few weeks back and we definitely need to get together for a few cold ones at some point while we’re boh on the other side of the world.

Billy: Not sure whether this is the way, that I replied to you before–but here I go–July 5th- damp, and not sunny, but nothing to be done about that. Yesterday was very nice. Fred, Joan & “the 5 Quincies” have been on Cape for the last 2 weeks, which is always fun.
Your Dad’s cousin Chuck, with Jen and 3 of the 4 children stopped by yesterday on their way to Martha’s Vineyard. Jen’s parents have a home there. Her Dad, Tom McCarthy is a Yale professor.
One of the great things about the summer, there are always things going on, here on Cape Cod. This coming week Kev, Em and their (now) 3 children are coming from Santa Monica. Next Sat. there will be a party after Baby Claire’a baptism.
That’s about all the news, I have a new thing that seems to be generally, well received, little pumpkin whoopie pies.
It certainly sounds as though your years in training for Asian cuisines is being well rewarded–who knew??
I don’t think the pumpkin whoopie pies are up to trans-Pacific travel. Enough for now. Lotsa love GG & Bu2
Bill: I kept thinking on Friday that I was already a day late-if I sent you a message–so my excuse for not sending this until Sunday our calendar/time–2 days late. Thank you for your Postcard. I have a great seamstress who came from Vietnam, many years ago. I know that she’ll enjoy seeing it. Keep moving around and making the most of your — what word should I use. I guess it could be adventure. Hope you received our standard card and $ in your account.
Lotsa love, B&G
