Yesterday was very nice. Fred, Joan & "the 5 Quincies" have been on Cape for the last 2 weeks, which is always fun. Your Dad's cousin Chuck, with Jen and 3 of the 4 children stopped by yesterday on their way to Martha's Vineyard. Jen's parents have a home there. Her Dad, Tom McCarthy is a Yale professor. One of the great things about the summer, there are always things going on, here on Cape Cod. This coming week Kev, Em and their (now) 3 children are coming from Santa Monica. Next Sat. there will be a party after Baby Claire'a baptism. That's about all the news, I have a new thing that seems to be generally, well received, little pumpkin whoopie pies. It certainly sounds as though your years in training for Asian cuisines is being well rewarded--who knew?? I don't think the pumpkin whoopie pies are up to trans-Pacific travel. Enough for now. Viet Nam was such a huge part of my generation's early adulthood. Later, when my girls were young I taught English at Digital to several Viet Namese refugees . One had been an officer in the military and a young women had a horrifying time with pirates.It amazes me that you are able to travel there as a tourist,.
